Hello folks! I’m Will Rompala, your neighbor and someone who loves our neighborhood and community. I am honored to be running for Commissioner to be your voice in government. With over 25 years of experience in executive organizational management, strategic planning and fiscal responsibility, I have a proven track record that will benefit Marple.
Like many of you, I was raised on the teachings of Mr. Rogers, whose message of kindness, compassion, and empathy has resonated with me throughout my life. As your representative, I believe that being a neighbor transcends political party lines and polarization. That's why I am committed to promoting inclusivity and collaboration across all neighborhoods in our area. I believe that by bringing people together and strengthening civic partnerships, we can achieve a shared vision of prosperity and progress that benefits us all. I plan to achieve these goals by hosting town halls and attending community events, engaging with local businesses and organizations, and working hard to listen to ensure that everyone's voices are heard.
Another crucial priority of mine is preserving our neighborhood way of life and ensuring that they are safe from the growing traffic in our area. All of us in Ward 1 are impacted by the flow of traffic from the Blue Route and shopping development. That's why if elected, I will prioritize working with local, state and local transportation authorities to mitigate traffic speeds, improve our highway and roadway infrastructure, and make our neighborhoods more walkable and bike-friendly.
Of course, I understand that being a good neighbor is not just about listening and being present. It's also about being accountable, honest, and responsible. If elected, I pledge to manage our tax dollars responsibly with a keen eye toward efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency. I understand that as our community grows and changes, we'll need to invest in areas like small business development, emergency preparedness, and infrastructure to ensure that we remain competitive and prosperous.
