Marple Newtown School Director
Christopher is a proud graduate of the Marple Newtown School District and is ready to give back to the community he loves. Christopher is a Social Studies Teacher in the Philadelphia School District, serving at a title I school. Christopher has experience in collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, having begun his career in the Rose Tree Media School District as a Special Education Paraprofessional, Long-Term Substitute, and an Assistant Wrestling Coach.
Christopher first got involved in local politics by running for the Marple Newtown School Board in 2021. In 2021, he ran with Sheetal Shah-Jani, Joanne Holsten, and Laurie Lynch. They successfully pushed for change on transparency and won by encouraging the board to establish live streaming board meetings.
In the current environment Christopher is concerned over the direction of the school district. When elected to the school board, Christopher will value:
- Students and funding after school programs.
- Keeping our teachers in Marple Newtown, so our students will keep talented and experienced educators.
- Ensuring all community stakeholders feel included.
- A balanced board that offers new ideas.
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in history, and a Master of Education from Temple University.
