Cheryl Grosso is a veteran, experienced IT professional, and committed public servant with a strong focus on effective governance and community collaboration. She currently works for Leidos as a Product Owner on an agile team supporting a Department of Justice contract, where she leads process improvements. Her work requires coordinating across complex systems, aligning priorities, and delivering solutions that support critical government services.
A graduate of Villanova University, Cheryl lives in Newtown Square, PA, and is running for Newtown Township Supervisor with a clear vision for strengthening the township through thoughtful planning, sound decision-making, and responsive government. She believes that good government is about providing essential goods and services efficiently to meet the real needs of the community. From infrastructure and land use to public safety and recreational spaces, Cheryl is committed to ensuring township resources are managed responsibly and in the public interest.
Cheryl also serves as Secretary of the Delaware County Planning Commission, where she works alongside the Planning Department to oversee development projects and ensure that growth across the county reflects strategic, sustainable planning. Her experience at the county level gives her a broad view of the opportunities and challenges facing townships like Newtown.
Whether managing technical teams, engaging with residents, or participating in community events, she leads with clarity, patience, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Cheryl is known for her ability to listen carefully, bring people together, and foster collaboration even when opinions differ. Cheryl is widely recognized for her ability to bring diverse stakeholders together and guide collaborative decision-making in complex environments. She excels at turning competing priorities into shared progress.
In her downtime, Cheryl enjoys reading and relaxing, recharging her energy to keep showing up with purpose and positivity. She believes in respectful dialogue, practical solutions, and the power of persistence to create lasting change.
